Presenting, Demolition Man Edwin Lacierda!

This is how Lacierda should be addressed from now on, instead of his current title of presidential spokesman.

Simply because Lacierda speaks as often as, if not more often than, the prosecution, and for that matter any other government official, about the impeachment trial.

Despite the fact that even before the trial went on a recess, news reports said Lacierda and other mouthpieces of Pnoy will no longer comment on the trial unless the President himself is attacked.

And most of all, it was the House of Representatives who approved and transmitted the impeachment complaint against Chief Justice Renato Corona to the Senate, and NOT MALACANANG!

Meaning, officially Pnoy and or any other Malacanang official have NOTHING TO DO whatsoever with the impeachment trial.

It would have been forgivable if what Lacierda says are innocent comments or reactions to truths already proven in the trial. The problem is, his statements are either echoes or prolonged explanations of the prosecution’s allegations.

Or simply, cheap intrigues aimed at demonizing Corona. Let me just cite two examples:

On the alleged $10-milion deposits of Corona supposedly uncovered by the Office of the Ombudsman, Lacierda was quoted in the newspapers as saying: “At the very least, look at what we have discovered? Who knew he (had) $10 million?”

To this day, there is NO OFFICIAL CONFIRMATION YET form the Office of the Ombudsman but for Lacierda, it’s already a FACT! GUILTY NA AGAD SI CORONA!

On the decision of Corona’s lawyers not to let him testify since they don’t find any evidence which warrants it, Lacierda said the Chief Justice is trying to avoid tough questions.

GUSTO PANG PALABASING DUWAG SI CORONA!

Lacierda is fast tuning Malacanang into a RUMOR and INTRIGUE MILL. The next time he alleges something, he had better have even a DOT of an evidence to support his claim.

Or be CIVILIZED and MAN ENOUIGH to just KEEP HIS MOUTH SHUT! 30
