IT'S MORALES, NOT CORONA, WHO SHOULD NOW EXPLAIN!

It’s now Ombudsman Conchita Carpio Morales who should explain, not Chief Justice Renato Corona, on his alleged $10-million bank deposits.

Morales should JUSTIFY why days after her order to Corona to explain was published in the Philippine Daily Inquirer, she still HAS NOT COME OUT with the details of the supposed $10 million (which the Chief Justice flatly denies).

Corona was again demonized by that $10-nillion allegation in media. So he has the right to DEFEND HIMSELF in media.

But the problem is Morales is NOT GIVING HIM A CHANCE to do so.

Morales won’t release the specifics of the allegation, -- the evidence of his accusers, the banks supposedly holding the $10 million and how much in each, since when did Corona started accumulating the money if indeed it exists, how id the complainants learn of the money.

If Morales’ office can release to media a copy of her order to Corona, WHY NOT THE DETAILS? They’ve tarnished the man’s reputation anew anyway so it’s SENSELESS to withhold the particulars.

Whatever is keeping her, it had better be a DAMNED GOOD, LEGAL and MORAL REASON(s). And not just because of an order by her superiors.

Personally, I can think of one possible reason.

Being a former Supreme Court justice herself. Morales knows that the details or evidence of the supposed $10 million are SENSELESS and THNNER THAN A HAIRSTRAND that she would be RIDICULED by the public for issuing the order.

If that’s the case, the next question will be why did her office still release her order to the Inquirer.

To those who are asking Corona to explain the supposed $10 million, ask Morales first to give him something SPECIFIC to clarify. That is, assuming you’re being fair to the man.

High risk shouldn’t stop the Philipines from using this soft loan/ODA (official dev assistance) - we already got into hot water years before with the WB/ADB/JICA that the ODA wasn’t being used since the Philippines didn’t have any counterpart funds. For me THE HIGH RISK Iis because of NOYNOYING, this fund will not be used at all within its time constraints. (All aid/soft loans have at least a year for it to be used by the recipient govt, otherwise the allocation will be channeled to others).
