OMBUDSMAN'S MALICE, MIND-CONDITIONING, TOWARDS CORONA!

The order of Ombudsman Conchita Carpio Morales tp Chief Justice Renato Corona to explain within 72 hours various cases filed against him before her office is nothing less than MALICE and MIND-CONDITIONING rolled into one!

In her letter to Corona which was quoted by the Inquirer, both she and the newspaper DID NOT MENTION OR CITE ANY PHYSICAL EVIDENCE of the allegations against the Chief Justice.

The only thing cited was NEWSPAPER REPORTS used as basis by one of the complainants, Emmanuel Tiu Santros.

The addresses, or even the location of the complainants, were NOT INCLUDED in the Inquirer story. So except for activist Risa Hontiveros and party-list Rep. Walden Bello, THERE’S NO WAY for anyone to verify the IDENTITY OR EXISTENCE of these persons.

Don’t forget, guys, the FAKE LETTERS to the Editor of the Inquirer which were exposed several weeks ago.

Morales told Corona that according to the complainants:

“You do not have the means to acquire properties in substantial amounts, supposedly considering your ‘indicated net worth, modest means and salary as a Chief Justice…the real and personal properties supposedly owned by you and your family are manifestly out of proportion to your salary as public officer, as well as other lawful income, during your respective tenures as associate justice and Chief Justice of the Supreme Court”

But neither did Morales or the Inquirer cite any basis by the complainants for their allegations, or explanation how did the complainants learn of what they’re claiming.

The rest of the complaints, like Corona’s peso and dollar accounts and supposed undeclared or questionable properties, are allegations by the prosecution which set to be explained in the resumption of the trial, as pledged by the defense.

But before Corona’s lawyers can do that, here is \the Ombudsman coming out in the media with the complaints from private individuals.

Coming as it is when THERE HAS BEEN NOTHING NEW from the prosecution, or anti-Corona groups, for more than a month. If anybody will say this isn’t mind-conditioning, just be sure to have a detailed justification ready.

If the basis is only newspaper reports, then this means anybody can accuse anyone of anything before the Office of the Ombudsman with JUST PUBLISHED MATERIAL (S), NOT NECESSARILY THEIR OWN WORK, AS EVIDENCE.

And the burden of proof will be on the accused, not the accuser, which is contradictory to logic and if I’m right, the Law itself!

Still, despite of all these grave DEFICIENCIES, the Inquirer treated Morales’ letter as the FRONT-PAGE HEADLINE

In asking Corona to explain, Morales invoked the Ombudsman’s power to investigate impeachable officers for serious misconduct, including violations of the Anti-Money Laundering Act of 2001.

Question: Does this mean that Morales can investigate even President Pnoy, since he’s an impeachable officer too? Are there no exceptions to this?

I hope our lawyer friends can provide some inputs on this. I’m not a lawyer but common sense tells me that it’s IMPOSSIBLE for a mere probe body like the Ombudsman to have investigative powers over the highest magistrate of the country.

Because if that’s the case, that makes her MORE POWERFUL than the Supreme Court.

The SWS and Pulse Asia surveys are obviously self-serving and biased just to please Pnoy and his psychopath allies. They should stop this form of propaganda because it would ultimately back-fire against them. And it’s an insult to the intelligence of the majority of the people. Or maybe they are living in their own world of make-believe if they continue to do so. Well that's part of the arrogant attitude this administration continues to espouse against their critics because they are the only ones who believe they can never do wrong in their governance of the country. Many people would want more respondents in sampling. But there is such a thing in statistics that says sampling population that is representative of the whole population is already a good gauge. Perhaps the best thing that we can do as a people is not to trust any survey and instead endeavor to carry on with our lives the best way we could. The thing is, if a survey result does not suit our desires we become frustrated while on the contrary if it suits us we think it is infallible.

Actually, any sane person in De Lima's shoes will grab the chance - even volunteer, for that matter - to testify without any second thoughts. Why? For the simple reason that appearing in the impeachment trial that is watched and followed by millions on TV and national newspapers will afford her FREE PUBLICITY and additional exposure that could help in her planned senatorial run next year. So why is she opposed to appearing? There is only explanation: This devil woman knows that she is on shaky ground and whatever free publicity she gets will be negative publicity that will put her in a bad light in the eyes of the public. That will then derail her already derailed senatorial run.30
