SOMETHING'S HAPPENING, GUYS!

One of my sources of information during my media days relayed this observation on some senator-judges in the impeachment trial of Chief Justice Renato Corona and Pnoy.

Judge for yourselves on how to best describe this situation.

Before the impeachment trial began, Pnoy repeatedly pldged that he and Malacanang will remain neutral. I remember he even supposedly ordered his people, and allies, to distance themselves from the senator-judges.

But in case you don’t know it, here’s what’s happening people:

Sen. Lito Lapid has an upcoming show with ABS-CBN. As we all know, ABS-CBN is an UNDISPUTED supporter of Pnoy. Related to this, Lapid’s son Mark has been offered the chairmanship of the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority.

Sen. Francis Escudero’s mother has been appointed to a government position.

A total of P1B has been poured into the funds of Aurora, Quezon, home province of Sen. Edgardo Angara and his congressman-son Juan Edgardo who is with the prosecution.

At the Supreme Court, calls have been aired for the inclusion of Sen. Bongbong Marcos, as well as his siblings, in a decades-old case against their late father for allegedly amassing P200 billion in ill-gotten wealth.

Take note, guys, all these senators are NOT KNOWN DIE-HARD ALLIES of Pnoy. 

Apart from them, at least four other senators have not shown any sign of supporting Pnoy’s bid to oust Corona. They are Joker Arroyo, Gregorio Honasan, Miriam Defensor Santiago and Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile.

And, Corona needs only eight votes for an acquittal. Anybody correct me if I’m wrong.

This time, allow me to listen first to what you think, people. This scenario ios open to a thousand and one interpretations.

Isa lang masasabi ko dyan.... if they didn't initiate it, the masses wouldn't have gone out in droves. But I have to give credit to Cardinal Sin also. He was the one who spoke on Radio Veritas to seek the public's help. Without that, the outcome of that coup may have been a different story.
