CAAP'S 'NO FOUL PLAY' RULING UNRELIABLE!

The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) categorically declared in a congressional committee meeting that no foul play was committed when DILG Sec. Jesse Robredo and two others died in a plane crash last Aug. 18.

But CAAP officials REFUSED TO REVEAL details of their probe, or their basis for ruling out foul play, to media.

Kaya WALA RING DAHILAN para paniwalaan sila agad.

Kung talagang walang foul play, WALANG DAPAT ITAGO o IKATAKOT ang CAAP. Pero BAKIT HINDI PUWEDENG sabihin sa harap ng media at ng publiko ang detalye ng kanilang imbestigasyon?

Ano ang HINDI DAPAT MALAMAN ng sambayanan pero dapat mabatid agad ng committee?

Remember, guys, ALL OF US FILIPINOS are entitled to IMMEDIATELY KNOW what is the latest so far on the death of Robredo.

And I mean all of us, not just senators or congressmen.

I’m not a lawyer but I’ll dare say that THERE’S NO LAW which says ordinary mortals like us must automatically and BLINDLY BELIEVE anything that CAAP, or for that matter any government agency, will say on the death of Robredo.

Even if there will be NO BASIS for their declaration or conclusion.

Let me remind you, ladies and gentlemen, of at least THREE CRITICAL ISSUES on the death of Robredo and please don’t forget these:

Robredo’s body WAS NOT AUTOPSIED. Until he was buried, the EXACT CAUSE of his death WAS NEVER KNOWN.  Nobody knew if there was anything unusual inside or outside of his body, like wounds which could not have been caused by the crash.

Lone survivor and Robredo aide June Abrazado said he used a piece of wood he saw to get out of the plane. What could have been the purpose for the piece of wood inside the aircraft?

Supposed insiders from CAAP were quoted TWICE by earlier print and TV reports which alleged that the pilot of the plane, Jessup Bahinting, had expired licenses at the time of the crash.

Twice, the Department of Transportation and Communications DENIED the reports.

So why should anyone TRUST CAAP now, with their REFUSAL to publicly reveal their reasons for declaring that there was no foul play in the plane casr that killed Robredo?

Committee chair Sen. Bong Revilla swallowed CAAP’s declaration hook, line and sinker, saying the tragedy was indeed an accident?.

Questions: If, through whatever means, signs of foul play suddenly emerge, will Bong readily admit his mistake? What will he do with CAAP?

Even assuming Pnoy gave Puno authority to secure the sensitive documents, it is still a private residence and not an extension of Robredo's office. Hence, our basic rights must be observed, which is to secure a search warrant first before going inside a private home. It is, therefore an illegal order, and constitutes an impeachable offense.
