I have two words for the discovery of a
grenade near the home of Ombudsman Conchita Carpio-Morales in Muntinlupa City
First: The grenade was found near the
perimeter fence or meters away from the main gate. If it was intended to scare
Morales, the grenade should have been DELIVERED at the gate.
NO ONE CAN SCARE ANYONE with something
which is meters away from the target’s location.
Second: The grenade was in a plastic
canister, in a bag. How can anyone terrorize anybody with
something which is NOT IMMEDIATELY VISIBLE?
Third: The grenade was found at 3:30 p.m.
That can only mean that it had not been long since it was left there, otherwise
it would have been found much earlier.
No criminal would leave a grenade or
anything as illegal and deadly as a grenade in daylight, especially near the
home of a person as powerful as Morales, and risk being spotted and captured.
Unless that criminal is ONE HELL OF AN
IDIOT!
Which apparently is not the case, since
there was even a note found with the grenade which read: “Pangdensa ni CCM.”
Fourth:
There’s no need for anyone to scare Morales since as Ombudsman, her
office only files charges before the Sandiganbayan. She DOES NOT DECIDE on a
case. She DOES NOT HAVE THE POWER to send anyone to jail.
So if anyone has to be terrorized, it
will have to be the Sandiganbayan justice handling cases filed by her office,
NOT HER!
Now,
don’t be surprised, people, if in the coming days, Morales will point to ousted
Chief Justice Renato Corona as the possible mastermind of the supposed grenade
‘scare.’
For
the simple reason that it’s Corona Corona
