BULLSHIT DEFENSE OF PNOY'S NON-SIGNING OF WAIVER!

Deputy presidential spokesperson Abigail Valte’s defense of Pnoy’s refusal to sign a waiver for his bank accounts is both HYPOCRITICAL and IDIOTIC.

Valte said of Pnoy’s SALN: “Wala hong nagsasabing incomplete yung disclosure o hindi makatotohanan yung disclosure sa kanyang mga SALN.” Even if this is true, IT DOESN’T FOLLOW that Pnoy need not be TRANSPARENT TO THE MAX by signing a waiver.

Valte insisted that there s a waiver in the SALN which allows the Ombudsman to look into the financial particulars of any government official.

This is BULLSHIT! Ombudsman Conchita Carpio Morales resorted to supposed documents from the Anti-Money Laundering Council, which she SHAMELESSLY ADMITTED as being UNVERIFIED, in hitting former Chief Justice Renato Corona with his alleged 82 dollar accounts.

Morales knew that the Foreign Currency Deposit Act would not give her INSTANT ACCESS to Corona’s dollar accounts.

Valte knows this. She’s just trying to make IDIOTS out of us!

Corona signed the waiver in his SALN. But as it turned out, there were bank deposits which he did not declare. So HOW CAN WE BE SURE that Pnoy had indeed declared all his bank deposits? There’s NO DOCUMENTARY PROOF.

Valte said Pnoy does not have any foreign currency account.

She’s not Pnoy’s wife, or girlfriend, who would know all his assets. She’s not her accountant, executive assistant or finance officer and doesn’t hold any position which has access to his financial records. 

So it would be RIDICULOUS and IDIOTIC to take her word for it.

Valte asked if it’s fair “to put the President …, who has not been accused of graft, who has not been accused of dishonesty, in the same category” as Corona.

I say OF COURSE, 1,000 PERCENT!  Pnoy and Corona were BOTH HEADS of two CO-EQUAL BRANCHES of government until the former Chief Justice was convicted in his impeachment trial.

Pnoy headed the Executive, Corona the Judiciary.

Unless Valte can produce a law or doctrine to the contrary, Corona’s conviction DOES NOT INCREASE the degree of Pnoy’s purported honesty.

And definitely DOES NOT GRANT Pnoy any EXEMPTION to the HIGHEST STANDARDS OF TRANSPARENCY required of him as ruler of the country.

I wonder if Valte is simply TOO STUPID or a true-blue HYPOCRITE not to realize this!
