Accurate or not, here’s one REVEALING
and DANGEROUS sign of what had been going on behind the scenes before the vote
on Chief Justice Renato Corona’s conviction
or acquittal later.
Prosecution team spokesman Aurora Rep.
Sonny Angara claimed in ABS-CBN’s TV program “Umagang Kay Ganda” that: “Ang SIGURADO
14-15 votes pero kulang pa rin.” in reference to the number of senators who
will hand out a guilty verdict on Corona .
Take note of the assessment SIGURADO,
based only on what he described as their own reading of the senator-judges.
Now, except for his
senator father Edgardo, how can Angara be
damned SURE of the line of thinking of the other senator-judges when they’re
supposed to see them only on trial days?
The only way would be for them to have
met with the senator-judges OUTSIDE the impeachment court. If yes, for what?
Remember two things, guys:
Wonder of wonders, the prosecution DID
NOT CROSS-EXAMINE Corona
when he testified in the impeachment trial even though they had been asking
repeatedly for his appearance.
The prosecution had also been demanding
for and screaming to high heavens for the opening of Corona ’s bank accounts.
But when Corona submitted an UNCONDITIONAL WAIVER for
both his peso and dollar accounts to the Senate impeachment court, the
prosecution TOTALLY IGNORED AND BELITTLED it.
The prosecution expressed ABSOLUTE
CONFIDENCE on the strength of their evidence, even without cross-examining Corona .
Now, here comes
Angara predicting with CERTAINTY 14-15 votes, just one vote short of the
required 16 for Corona ’s
conviction.
Guessing game time, guys, for the
reason(s) behind the OVERWHELMING CONFIDENCE of the prosecution, especially
Angara, that Corona
will be convicted.

Even the impeachment
of CJ Corona has good schemes. They are undermined by selfish motives of the
President such as railroading the complaint and , maneuvering to keep control
of Hacienda Luisita.

Anarchy here we come. Whoever is left standing after a gun
fight wins. Back to the Dark Ages. Yes, of course, that is where we are headed
if the impeachment court does not acquit the CJ! Every citizen, rich, poor or
anywhere in between, will have this doubt that courts, laws and due process is
not necessary any more. Civility will go backwards in time if the CJ does not
get acquitted.

Acquittal na iyan. BOBO na lang ang senador na BOBOTO FOR

The way the prosecution has been behaving since
last Tuesday, it seems like they've received assurances. We may never know. But
what we now know is they had the gall to just ignore the CJ's formal waiver to
open up his accounts and say there's no need. We all need to know. And whatever
happens tomorrow, it's still up to the Senate to USE that waiver for what it's
intended for - to find out the truth.

C’mon guys, just because Corona will be ousted (?) from his seat would
mean (the) start of a dictatorship? That
will not happen and will not be allowed by the people....Corona will just be changed with someone who
is fit for the position, no more, no less.
