SUBPOENA ABS-CBN, INQUIRER, AMLC OFFICIALS!

Thumbs up to Senate Impeachment Court Presiding Officer Juan Ponce Enrile for his swift action in signing subpoenas today for Ombudsman Conchita Carpio Morales and four others to testify on Chief Justice Renato Corona’s alleged undeclared multi-million dollar bank deposits.

Here’s hoping Corona’s lawyers will also ask subpoenas for editors of the ABS-CBN News, the Philippine Daily Inquirer and officials of the Anti-Money Laundering Council (AMLC).

Para ISANG BUHOS na lang at MAGKAALAMAN NA kung sino ang SINUNGALING at hindi, at  kung sino ang FAIR at sino ang BIASED.

The amounts cited by one of the complainants, Harvey Keh as having been in, and withdrawn by Corona from his supposed deposits, were in the hundreds of thousands of dollars.

But as far as I can recall, never has the AMLC been reported as having investigated Corona, or any bank which supposedly holds his multi-million dollar savings, up to now.

This despite a rule which says banks must report to the AMLC dollar movements in excess of $10,000.

For their part, ABS-CBN and Inquirer editors must explain why they DID NOIT name the banks supposedly keeping Corona’s dollar millions in their stories about it.

The banks are the ROOTS from which the accusations against Corona emanated. The supposedly undeclared dollar deposits were supposed ot have been found there.

So in coming out with stories about it, ABS-CBN and Inquirer should have named the banks as basis of Keh’s allegations and those of complainants against Corona before the Ombudsman.

It would have given Corona the chance to IMMEDIATELY ISSUE a more detailed DENIAL AND DEFENSE.

But ABS-CBN and Inquirer did not accord that FAIRNESS to the Chief Justice.

So as I’ve said in our preceding blog, let’s keep our eyes glued on the people which had been summoned  by the Senate Impeachment Court to prove their accusations of Corona’s undeclared multi-million dollar saving.

Whoever expresses hesitation or opposition, or even asks for a postponement of his or her testimony, SIYA ANG SINUNGALING. Unless, of course, the postponement sought involves life and death.

Once and for all, this anri-Corona circus must STOP!

Once again, Mr. Antonio's comments and opinions are spot-on.....for the senator-judges who are truly fair and just, any hesitation from these rumormongers is the final proof of Corona's innocence.

What's funny is that the AMLC would have detected such a large $ account long ago. Why only now, and from a tiny Harvey Keh of all people, who is also known to be a yellow lapdog? Now that they are being subpoenaed, they're saying their source is unconfirmed. The "small lady" parade just keeps coming.... bait they're using to fish for any miraculous evidence.

Harvey Keh belongs to the same league as Tongressmen Umali and Banal, who also has a fairy delivering to him evidences against CJ Corona. The Ombudsgirl therefore took the fairy tale of Keh, hook, line, and sinker and had CJ Corona investigated.
