HOW TO TELL IF A SENATOR-JUDGE IS FAIR!

Here’s how you can tell if a senator-judge is being FAIR to Chief Justice Renato Corona when he testifies in his impeachment trial:

The principle “The burden of proof is on the accuser, not the accused” must be strictly observed by all senator-judges in their line of questioning.

The questions being asked are STRICTLY RELATED ONLY to the articles of impeachment Corona is facing. Keep in mind, people, Corona is being tried for his alleged wrongdoings as Chief Justice of the Supreme Court (SC).

NOT AS A PRIVATE CITIZEN and his PERSONAL LIFE,, or former Malacanang official until he was appointed to the SC, or in any other capacity.

The questions being asked are STRCTLY BASED ON EVIDENCE which had been either accepted by the impeachment court or have a very clear relation to the articles of impeachment.

Not on hearsay evidence, like the testimony of Justice Sec. Leila de Lima which the impeachment court had ruled as such, or on allegations from other parties WITHOUT PERSONAL KNOWLEDGE of what they had said like Risa Hontiveros.

Related to this, Corona won’t be asked to DISPROVE OR EVEN DISCUSS ANYTHING which had not been alleged in and has no relevance to the articles of impeachment.

The senator-judge would not REPEAT OR PARAPHRASE the question over and over again once Corona gives a reply clear enough to be understood even by laborers and other commoners, especially if it is supported by his own proof.

The senator-judge would NOT ASK AGAIN questions which had already been answered by Corona without relevant justification.

The senator-judge WOULD NOT INTERRUPT Corona while he is replying to a question, and would let him finish before asking another question or commenting on his answer.

The senator-judge would not make any UNCALLED FOR remark or comment, especially insults or mockery and jokingly or not, while interrogating Corona.

The senator-judge would not raise his or her voice without any justifiable reason.

The senator-judge would not CATEGORICALLY rule as a LIE Corona’s replies to his or her questions, and those of the other members of the impeachment couirt, after the Chief Justice’s testimony.

Any senator-judge who does so is out to CONIDITION THE PUBLIC MIND on the guilt of Corona, and is outright UNFAIR and without any MORAL AUTHORITY to vote on the verdict of the impeachment case.

Any senator-judge who does the OPPOSITE of any of these indicators of fairness is BIASED, plain and simple.

A public servant who DOES NOT DESERVE even an iota of public trust in future elections, as long as he or she lives!
