MORALES WILL NEED A MIRACLE...

Ombudsman Conchita Carpio Morales will need a MIRACLE to prove that Chief Justice Renato Corona indeed has $10 million in undeclared bank deposits when she testifies in his impeachment trial this week on her order to him to explain this.

Otherwise, she won’t just be digging her own grave, SHE WILL BURY HERSELF completely before the public eye on that same moment.

A story in the ABS-CBN website says when asked for the basis of her order, Carpio Morales replied: “We just walked through all the reports gathered from the media…” Meaning, Morales had NO HARD EVIDENCE for issuing the order to Corona, other than news reports.

Media only comes out with what had happened, what government officials or public figures had said or done plus exposes and their basis for it. But it also requires DOCUMENTARY PROOF as protection against civil or criminal suits.

Remember, however, that four of the complainants against Corona before the Ombudsman on his alleged $10 million have all DENIED GIVING THE AMOUNT or HAVING PERSONAL KNOWLEDGE of it.  

Risa Hontiveros has admitted that she had based her complaint only on evidence presented by the prosecution in the impeachment court. Harvey Keh has admitted HE CANNOT AUTHENTICATE ANY DOCUMENT on Corona’s supposed $10 million.

Rep. Walden Bello has categorically declared HE DOESN’T HAVE ANY IDEA where Morales got the $10 million.  Emmanuel Santos has acknowledged that he had based his complaint only on newspaper reports.

In other words they DON’T HAVE DOCUMENTS, CERTIFIED TRUE COPIES of documents proving the $10 million. Any evidence they had presented HAS NOT BEEN PROVEN in the impeachment trial as the truth.

So I really can’t help but wonder what documents on the $10 million will Morales present, and where will these come from? 

Let me add, people, that Morales HAS NOT YET PRESENTED even a single piece of evidence of the $10 million since her order to Corona came out exclusively in one broadsheet almost two weeks ago.

I’m not a lawyer but considering the damage to the reputation of Corona which will result from her action, which she surely was smart enough to realize, how could have Morales stomached such a move? 

Listen to, and think about, EVERY SIINGLE WORD that Morales will say from now on until she testifies, ladies and gentlemen. We must make sure we won’t be MISLED, or DECEIVED.
