MORALES TOTAL FAILURE TO PROVE CORONA $10M!

Ombudsman Conchita Carpio Morales was TOTAL FAILUIRE in proving  the supposed $10 million owned and undeclared by Chief Justice Renato Corona when she continued her testimony in the Senate Impeachment Court.

Morales did not even succeed in establishing with certainty Corona’s ownership of the supposed 82 dollar accounts.

Morales categorically admitted that she RELIED ENTIRELY on her presumption that documents furnished her by the Anti-Money Laundering Council (AMLC) are correct and accurate.

She admitted that:

No verification whatsoever was made by her office from the banks whom she had claimed were holding Corona’s dollar accounts.

She WOULD NOT EVEN KNOW the nature of the accounts – savings, current -- she had cited in her power point presentation.

She could NOT BE SURE which of the supposed 82 accounts were still l existing.

She’s not privy into how the AMLC came up with and prepared the documents furnished to her. In effect, she would not know whether or not the AMLC produced the document in total accordance with the law.

In other words, Morales only had her word and the AMLC document as proof of Corona’s supposed $10 million.

But as I was writing this piece, guys, ABS-CBN’S ANC Channel announced that there were circulating reports that AMLC boss Vic Aquino was disowning some portions of the documents furnished to Morales.

So WHERE IS THE PROOF that Corona indeed owns $10 million in 82 bank accounts?

Morales’ word IS NOT AUTOMATICALLY GOSPEL TRUTH!

Her testimony with that $10M is based on "transactional balance", meaning the running total of what went in and out of those accounts. This is. to say the least, too disingenuous for the Ombudsman nor the COA to offer as evidence. Why didn't they present the final or closing balance as the real money obtainable/ That is a puzzling thought for me. And to belie her testimony, her presentation was based on the electronic data gathered from AMLC's database. Anybody with knowledge of SQL or any database handling software can do ‘miracles’ to fudge the results. This is what is worrisome as figures doled out in the impeachment court could cloud the senator-judges' judgment later, stressing the fact that behind those figures could point out the opposite if based on the original database record. More so, paper or hard copy evidence hasn't been presented nor attached to the report to buttress the truthfulness of the presented documents. Bottom line: no paper trail, invalid document and invalid evidence.
