TONY BOY COJUANGCO STILL PULSE ASIA CO-OWNER!

Pulse Asia president Ronald Holmes has just cast doubts on the impartiality and integrity of the company’s surveys.

In a radio interview reported by The Philippine Star, Holmes admitted that presidential cousin and billionaire businessman Antonio “Tonyboy” Cojuangco is a stockholder of Pulse Asia.

But he didn’t say how much of the company did Cojuangco own, and if the billionaire is the majority owner or not

Holmes said 60 percent of Pulse Asia’s shares “belong to academics, including myself.” But he didn’t identify his co-owners and how many shares did each of them have.

Holmes did not clarify the position, if any, or role of Cojuangco in Pulse Asia., especially in the conduct of surveys and release of the results.

Neither did Holmes give any convincing assurance that Cojuangco was not interfering in the survey firm’s operations.

So there’s no way for the people to prove that Pulse Asia’s firms are honestly done polls and not according to the dictates of Cojuangco or anyone of his relatives, or even Pnoy himself.

And here’s some more:

In a 2010 expose, former senator Francisco Tatad cited documents that presidential relative Rafsel Lopa was director and president of Pulse Asia until 2009 when he resigned. 

But Holmes said Lopa quit as company president in 2008. So which is which?

As one in touch with so many people all the time, why don't I feel that these so-called surveys don't seem to reflect the prevailing mood of people I meet up with? Most of them really don't care a hoot. For any outfit to claim a downright positive slant towards something they claim seems to me a case of putting words into the mouth of the regular populace, who, in the first place, probably are not as concerned as the surveyors and those who commission them to do those surveys. It all sounds to me like begging the question. I still have to hear somebody sing hosannas of praise for those surveys we are talking about. At best, what I see is indifference. At worst, I see a collective shrug of the shoulders.

The prosecutors declared that the SWS and False A-Siya surveys are proofs that they are vindicated -- vindicated of their bungling, comedy of errors, stupidity and all.

Kaya pala. Kawawa sina former Presidents Ramos at Arroyo. Naging Presidente nga sila pero wala sila sariling survey firm. Kawawa rin yong mga natalong kandidato – Villar, Erap, Poe, Gibo dahil kahit anong gawin nila hindi nagkatotoong maging Presidente sila. Hawak ng mga Lopez at Cojuangco ang media at survey firms. Pagisipan na lang natin: Walang kwenta ang kahit sinong Presidente uupo sa Malakanyang dahil kung pagsawaan ka ng mga KKKK... sa bandang huli magiging kawawa ka. Tingnan n’yo kung anong nangyayari ngayon kay Gloria Arroyo. 30
