HYPOCRITES SUDDENLY BECOME IMPEACHMENT EXPERTS!

Sen. Gregorio Honasan told the Philippine Daily Inquirer that “hypocrites, all of a sudden have (become)…experts on the law, on the impeachment trial,” of Chief Justice Renato Corona.

I couldn’t agree more.

Honasan did not name names but it was a CRYSTAL CLEAR reference to those who have been PREJUDIGNG the case this early with VICIOUS BIAS.

Like Pnoy and his spokespersons Edwin Lacierda and Abigail Valte, the congressmen-prosecutors, the yellow media and those who have been demanding for Corona’s ouster with the trial still ongoing.

Remember guys, Honasan is one of the senator-judges, THE ONLY ONES AUTHORIZED by the Constitution to DECIDE whether Corona is guilty or not.

So anti-Corona bashers, consider all these VERY SERIOUSLY before making your next move:

Has PREJUDGING the case DONE ANY GOOD to the country, to the Filipino people as whole or to you and your family?  Has the quality of your lives improved?

What is the LEGAL OR MORAL BASIS for IMMEDIATELY believing the allegations of the prosecution as Gospel-truth? Who says or what law provides that the word of the accuser ALONE is ENOUGH for you to make your own conclusion?

In a democracy like ours, listening to BOTH SIDES first is a hallmark of FAIR PLAY. If you’ll continue ignoring the defense’s presentation of their evidence and witnesses, will you wholeheartedly accept being labelled as UNDEMOCRATIC?

One who should LEAVE the Philippines at once and settle in China or Russia, where COMMUNISM is the way of life?

Any case is decided BASED ON EVIDENCE presented by both sides, NOT ON WHO has more press releases and SELF-SERVING statements in media.

If you will be prejudged BASED ONLY on media stories and allegations of your accuser, will you still consider that as FAIR? WON’T you fight to clear your name and just pack up and leave?

Again, for the record, I’m not saying that Corona is innocent.

But anti-Coronas had better think REALLY HARD from now on. Before  it’s too late for all of us!
