KEEP A VERY CLOSE WATCH ON DE LIMA, GUYS!

Let’s all keep A CLOSE WATCH, A VERY CLOSE WATCH, on Justice Secretary Leila de Lima and her officials from now on.

Her order to remove the two press offices from the Department of Justice (DOJ) main building, is SUSPICIOUS to the max and a CHEAP, SHAMELESS ATTEMPT to limit public accessibility to information on what is actually going on there.

With reporters out of sight, only two kinds of news will come out of the DOJ:

Those FAVORABLE OR ‘POGI POINTS’ to De Lima and the department.

ONE-SIDED ATTACKS by De Lima on whoever she chooses, to be released near deadline time so that reporters won’t have a CHANCE to get the side of the accused.   

We can no longer expect to immediately find out whatever anomalies or immoralities are going on in the DOJ.

What’s adding fire to this DICTATORIAL CURTAILMENT of press freedom are the IDIOTIC reasons given for the removal of the two press corps.

According allegedly to an audit by the National Intelligence Coordinating Agency (NICA), members of media are a “threat to security” and an “obstruction to effective dispensation of services” at the DOJ.

First: Reporters covering the DOJ are UNARMED.

Second: They don’t have duplicate keys, or the combination (s) to whatever rooms or vaults that are keeping confidential or CLASSIFIED DOCUMENTS.

Third: no media person has been arrested, charged or questioned for ASSAULTING, HITTING OR THREATENING De Lima or any other DOJ OFFICIAL with death or bodily harm.

So HOW THE HELL can the reporters be security risks?

The reporters DON’T HAVE THE RIGHT TO MEDDLE in transactions between the public and any section in the DOJ. Neither can the reporters DICTATE to any DOJ official what to do on anything they are working on.

And even if I’m, not a reporter covering the DOJ, I will dare say that media people there don’t interrupt, and do not have any authority to interrupt, any and all processes in carrying out DOJ services to the public.

So how can the public obstruct the effective dispensation of DOJ services to the public?

At kung hindi ba naman garapalang PAMBABASTOS sa media ANG GINAWA ni De Lima,  HINDI BINIGYAN ng kopya nang mga tauhan niya ng dimano’y NICA audit na nagging dahilan para sila p[aalisin sa DOJ main building.

BINASTOS NA ANG MGA TAGA-MEDIA, PINALALABAS PANG WALANGHIYA AT MAPNGANIB NANG WALANG PINAKIKITANG EBIDENSIYA.

I dare say all these things because I am a former newspaperman myself. I was once a senior editor of a nationally circulated paper so I know the rules. I know what I’m saying.
