CORONA'S ATENEO STINT AND HIS FAMILY'S MEANS!

A lawyer and Makati-based businessman who was two years ahead of Chief Justice Renato Corona at the Ateneo Law School sent me a brief explanation on how could his family have afforded sending him there even though he supposedly came from a one-income household.

Asking not to be named, the lawyer said their tuition then (the early ‘70s) was approximately P500 per semester. He’s 100 percent sure of it because he had enrolled himself several times.

He noted that considering how cheap the prices of basic goods and commodities were then, it wouldn’t be really surprising that Corona’s family had the money to pay for his studies at the Ateneo.

I was in high school during the early ‘70s. I still remember then that on a budget of P1,000, my mother would go to the supermarket and come home with two to three big bags full of goodies, and I mean full.

The highest minimum jeepney fare that I went through was P1.50 (and I think my memory serves me right) until I graduated in 1976.

The lawyer added that even if Corona’s father was only a humble lawyer at the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), his detractors have not established any unlawful income on his part.

He noted that Corona’s foes have not even established how much was his father earning, as against the cost of living then.

He emphasized that “Remember, the cost of education at the Ateneo during our time was 50 to 100 TIMES CHEAPER than what parents pay now for their kids per semester, regardless of the course.”

So it would be grossly unfair to the Chief Justice for anyone to drag his parents into the controversies he is facing, while casting malicious insinuations on their integrity and reputation.

The lawyer added: “In the interest of fair play, I hope everybody won’t forget that the issues in Corona’s impeachment trial are only for his stint as Chief Justice, and not for his student days or private sector career, and most of all not about his parents or siblings.”

I couldn’t thank the lawyer enough.

EVIL SCHEME BEHIND PNOY’S PRIVATIZATION BID!

Great work, Boyet!

Parang si Medusa itong si Abnoy et al ... Puro ahas at pahirap sa bayan at pagkakakitaan pa. Take care, Boyet. Good research!

The good thing about the energy summit in Mindanao is that the various stakeholders have bonded themselves not to follow BS Aquinos solution (is there?) to the crisis. They said that that the Agus -Pulangi hydropower complex in Mindanao is grossing P12 .3 billion. So why privatize it!? Why then is our government insisting to sell it? Well, siguro, imagine the huge commission. Grabe, how callous talaga! Que barbaridad!

TORO HYDEN
They created an artificial shortage, to jack up prices...then, ,buy these power companies themselves. Hoard, then create an artificial shortage, then jack up prices.

Of course. Kasi, they don't have funds anymore. Why? Inuuna muna mga sarili nila! Instead of looking for funds, think, plan and do something about it! Sabagay, that's what they really want! Sino ang magpoprofit? Siya at mga KKK niya.

You voted Pnoy to become president so suffer the consequences. He is the only president who cannot give a solution to the power crisis in Mindanao (like  mother, like son). He tossed back the problem to the people of that region.....malas ng Pilipino.

JOY FIGURACION
None other than the evil Cojuangcos–Aquinos. Damned monsters, want to own the whole world

Nothing new!

INTRIGUES UEEN RAISSA ROBLES RETURNS!

AINA REYES
Please, don't call Robles queen of intrigues. That belongs to the late Ludy Carvajal/Inday Badiday. At least, Inday had facts to justify what she said or wrote. Let us not tarnish her memory. Let us call Robles Queen of Thieves, since di naman nya tinatanggi na kleptomaniac siya. Now, about the issues between her and the CJ, well Robles loves Justice Carpio so much that she is willing to turn to hell and the underworld just to make her beloved chief justice. But as i am always saying, some things are never meant to be. 30
