Pnoy and his boys owe the millions of devotees of Jesus the Black Nazarene, and the Catholic Church, an explanation.
Pnoy had practically tried to cancel the procession in honor of the Black Nazarene by suggesting that devotees stay home instead due to threats of a terrorist attack. But as newspapers have reported, supposed raids on the suspected locations of six to nine terrorists yielded NOTHIHG.
I’m not saying that Pnoy should not have warned about the threat.
What I’m after is WAS THERE REALLY A THREAT in the first place? The Black Nazarene would have been DEPRIVED of the homage WHOLE-HEARTEDLY bestowed upon Him yearly by His millions of devotees had they listened to Pnoy’s warning.
My skin crawls at how Our Lord Jesus Christ would have taken such an eventuality, especially if it was without solid basis.
Take note, people, that in issuing the terror threat, Pnoy could not even tell who or what actually were the Black Nazarene devotees up against. Even the newspapers reported that the supposed terrorists were ether from the Abu Sayyaf or the Mori Islamic Liberation Front.
No pictures of the supposed six to nine terrorists were given to media so that Black Nazarene devotees, and the public in general, would know who to look out for.
I heard Pnoy suggesting to the public and the devotees to immediately report any suspicious-looking character to the authorities. But the government itself asked the mobile phone companies to disrupt signals in areas where the procession would pass.
I am aware that mobile phones can trigger bomb explosions. But if a resident or a devotee in the midst of the procession had spotted somebody suspicious, how could he or she have called police if there was no signal?
Look for a landline? Give me a break!
Defense Sec. Voltaire Gazmin was quoted in newspaper reports as saying that the suspected locations of the terrorists were in Rizal province and Metro Manila. But he didn’t specify where or who owned the locations.
If there is indeed a threat, obviously the government can’t handle it as of this stage since no terrorist has been arrested and no bombs or other similar gadgets have been found.
Why, then, won’t they go public with the details? Tens of millions of extra pairs of eyes are better than the few they have. If Malacanang can directly appeal to the public for help for the capture of retired general Palparan, why can’t it do the same now, considering that millions of lives were supposed to be threatened during the procession in honor of the Black Nazarene?
If there was really no threat in the first place, Malacanang had better have one hell of a reason for trying to SCARE OFF the Black Nazarene’s devotees form the procession.
Whatever is the truth, we either have DANGEROUS LIARS, INCOMPETENTS or ATHEISTS for government leaders.

President Aquino inherited most, if not 100 percent, of the country’s current problems which can be traced back as far as the rule of the Padre Damasos to Estrada to Arroyo, most especially the Marcoses. So diificult for President Aquino.
