Since oil prices were raised days ago, I have been hearing and receiving a lot of complaints that Pnoy DOESN’T GIVE A DAMN to the HARDSHIPS oil companies impose upon the people.
Come to think of it, what the hell has he done anyway?
The only measure I have heard from Malacanang regarding oil price increases is there’s a multi-sector audit committee for oil firms which was scheduled to start working last Feb. 1.
But it’s been 12 days now and I have yet to come across even one news item about it – among others, who are the members, what have they done so far, where are they based, how much is their budget.
Otherwise, Pnoy won’t even order a probe of the endless price increases of oil companies.
Sure, prices go down every now and then but if you’ll look at the decrease. It’s not even half of the preceding increase. As if we’re stupid enough not to notice this.
Whenever the public expresses rage over excessive and seemingly unjustified price increases, Pnoy;s government immediately comes out with a press release that an investigation will be conducted.
I haven’t heard of one. Anybody correct me if I’m wrong.
I don’t know of even one dialogue arranged by Pnopy’s boys between oil companies and public sector representatives.
Not once have the oil firms been pressured by Pnoy’s government to open their books of accounts for both government and public scrutiny.
There have been repeated calls for a SERIOUS, THOROUGH REVIEW of the Oil Deregulation Law but Pnoy rejected this outright without public consultation.
Bottom line, oil firms can raise prices ANYTIME THEY WANT with the MOST ABSURD EXCUSE thy can think of, if any.
But if it’s the people who’ll ask for pay increases to cope with higher prices usually triggered by oil price hikes, a thousand and one processes will have to be conducted first.
I’m not anti-business, I’ll never be.
I simply find it UNACCEPTABLE that it’s only us, the people, who have to SUFFER and SACRIFICE.
As if ONLY the oil companies have the RIGHT TO EARN comfortably (SILA LANG ANG MAY KARAPATANG MABUHAY), and we have to bear anything necessary to keep it that way.
I’ve asked this before and I’ll ask it again: Can anyone honestly say that the quality of life, and governance, have improved since Pnoy became president.?

Truly, the SC's act of issuing a TRO emboldens the corrupt. They think they can hide the loot by converting the pesos into dollars! What a twisted fate for Filipinos!

The Supreme Court is the final arbiter of the law. What if senators are ALL NON-LAWYERS? Do you think their decisions will be in accordance with the law? Therefore, there is a need to elevate the issue to the Supreme Court.

We are now actually witnessing how dictatorship is being offered
in the guise of democracy. When the impeachment court accepted the unverified impeachment complaint; when a pre-trial was set aside; when I heard Sen. Enrile saying even the Supreme Court could not stop the trial; when I heard Sen. Drilon and other brute senator-judges threatening witnesses with contempt of court; when some senator-judges acted as the prosecutors; when I saw Sen. Estrada sarcastically patting the left shoulder of the witness (Garcia) while being interrogated, when the prosecutors made the public so ignorant with their "little woman" story; when the impeachment court allowed a fabricated document alleged to have been sent from heaven to be an attachment to a subpoena request; I knew democracy was severely wounded, if not clinically dead. And decency passed away, mourned with hypocrisy.

Tulad nung sagutan ni ex-Justice Cuevas saka ni Senate President. Enrile. Very civil and courteous ang dating, pero hidden within the message are hreatening ideas.

Kawawa iyong president ng PS Bank. But he is firm with his stand that he abides by the law on the secrecy of (foreign currency) bank deposits.

Farinas and all those who will oppose the TRO, could be held for contempt. Any move to defy a TRO, including the filing of an impeachment complaint, is contempt of court.

What the president of the bank is protecting is the interest of the bank, for in so testifying on the dollar accounts of the CJ some laws may be seen as having been violated by the bank which would meari sanctions from concerned agencies.

Let them do these, for at the end of the day, most people especially the thinking yellow horde will pause and give it a thought, that things are not what's supposed to be. Let them expose their hidden motives themselves, give them enough rope to hang themselves By then, the people could see through their actions how they run roughshod over the law.

Our political leaders should think about this seriously: leading the nation is not a joke. pure service that is. The hidden agenda must be set aside. Put the public first rather than personal interest. Look at the shame brought about by mere SUSPICION OF CORRUPTION that's hitting the center stage, dragging everyone before a WORLDWIDE AUDIENCE!
