IT'S NOW TOBY VS JV!

It’s now Toby (Navotas Rep. Tobias Tiangco) versus JV (San Juan Rep. Joseph Victor Ejercito).

Tiangco is challenging Ejercito to testify before the Senate and repeat his statement that House members were not forced into signing the impeachment complaint against Chief Justice Renato Corona last Dec. 12.

Tiangco says “in order to protect my integrity and test the truthfulness of his statement, I must request him to swear to it under oath.”

In effect, Tiangco’s saying he’s challenging Ejercito so that the people will know once and for all who between the two of them is TELLING THE TRUTH.

Good. Para  magkaalaman na talaga kung sino ang SINUNGALING!

Ejercito should realize that Tiangco is indirectly telling him that he’s LYING! If he doesn’t accept the challenge, or present CONVINCING EVIDENCE to the contrary under oath, even if not in the Senate, he will be Tiangco’s best proof of the TRUTH!

Tiangco had told the Senate impeachment court, under oath, that the release of  their pork barrel was used by House leaders to force them into signing the impeachment complaint. House leaders have denied this.

For his own sake, Ejercito had better not commit the grave mistake of accusing Tiangco of anything in issuing the challenge.

Tiangco had kept quiet after his testimony.

But Ejercito said in a TV interview Wednesday that the impeachment process was indeed “rushed,” but no coercion or threat was made by House leaders.

So the burden of proof is now on Ejercito.

If he’s telling the truth, there’s no reason for him not to accept Tiangco’s challenge.

If he doesn’t accept the challenge, Ejercito will cast a very huge blanket of doubt not only on his integrity but on those of the other House members who signed the impeachment complaint as well.

That will mean a hell of a damage control operation to do to save whatever credibility he and the others have left.

Huwag tayong bibitiw, mga kababayan. Integridad at karangalan na ng mga congressmen natin ang pinaguusapan dito. 30
