LATEST SWS SURVEY ON PNOY QUESTIONABLE!

I found six questionable points in the latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey saying that seven out of 10 Filipinos are satisfied with Pnoy’s performance.

The survey was done in the fourth quarter of 2011, long before the start of the impeachment trial of Chief Justice Renato Corona.

The survey was released at a time when rallies and expressions of support for Corona consistently showed that Pnoy’s supposed popularity was not enough to sway majority public opinion to Pnoy’s vocal desire to oust Corona.

Apart from these, some of the survey results are highly doubtful.

For example, the survey said Pnoy;s government earned ‘very good’ ratings in helping the poor. But an earlier survey, also by SWS if I remember right, showed that the incidence of hunger had increased.

How do you reconcile that?

The survey gave ‘good’ ratings to Pnoy’s government in promoting the welfare of overseas Filipino workers (OFW).

But there has been no report on what and how much help, if any, has been given to OFWs who were forced to go home due to unrest in their place of work.

As what we had all seen in media, the Pnoy government practically goes through the proverbial ‘eye of the needle’ in getting OFWs out of troubled countries.

‘Good’ ratings were also given to Pnoy’s administration in developing tourism,

I haven’t heard of any major tourism development program by the Pnoy government since it took office – no rehabilitation, renovation or massive promotion of tourist spots, no perks or incentives for tourists, no nothing.

Anybody correct me if I’m wrong.

The survey results were printed practically in its entirety in the leading newspapers. But the ONLY REACTION included was that of Malacanang. No comments were generated from any neutral group or personality, or those critical of the Aquino Administration.

And as usual, the survey results were PURELY NUMBERS.

The AREAS SURVEYED were not cited. There were no specific details to support the purported good and very good ratings. In other words, NOTHING TO PROVE OR JUSTIFY the results.

You have the floor, people!

PSBANK MANAGER SAYS CORONA RECORDS FAKE!

MARIA DOLORES SANTOS of London , United Kingdom

PEACH ZARI of Caloocan City
Lahat na yata ng nega, matatawag na sa kanila: arogante, sinungaling,, nagbu-bully, manloloko, etc.

LENI RACCA
Both sides are in hot water!

RODEL BANARES pf Marikina City
The prosecution obviously knew the docs were fake -- they're just too arrogant to think they won't get caught. The trial this afternoon will be exciting, to say the least.  Can I place this blog in the Sentinel newsletter mockup I'm making?

DELI FRANCE
Paanong maging fake, naisubmit na some bank documents as attachment after confirmation by no less than PSBank president

ABDUL RAJEED MANAIN
Deli France , tanong mo kay Tiongson. Siya kasi ang may sabi.

ALON VALDEZ
Si Tupas daw, mas magaling tumingin ng fake bank records kaysa sa PSBank manager.

MANIMOGS
I believe the bank manager was trying to save her job, as well as the reputation and credibility of PSBank and the entire banking industry. If she admitted there was a leak, she would certainly face an avalanche of legal problems and the bank will lose clients. Right from the start, the prosecutors are relying on the popularity of Pnoy as a basis for impeaching Renato Corona. The prosecutors have no game plan, did not prepare, did not research, relied heavily on investigative journalists and were too lazy to gather information. Mag-trabaho naman kayo nang maayos. Maraming may ayaw kay Corona pero kung puro palpal ebidensiya nyo, sinasayang nyo lang oras namin

CHIZ’S STATEMENT BELIES OCHOA DENIAL!

ANONYMOUS
Is he not the same executive secretary who was hopelessly drunk and cavorting with an actress at a hotel lobby while the Luneta hostage crisis was going on? And does this person Ochoa expect us to believe his denial? What is his credibility?  30

ANOTHER DECEIVING SWS SURVEY!

The Social Weather Stations (SWS) claims that its latest survey revealed that the country’s poverty rate dropped at the end of 2011.

Really, now.  Says who? Specifics please, NOT JUST NUMBERS, YOUR NUMBERS!

Even the Pnoy Administration and business leaders can’t deny that the economy slowed down, some even put it at STAGNANT, in 2011.

Pnoy recently claimed that two million jobs have already been generated under his government. But not even one beneficiary was named, not even one of the companies which took those purported two million new employees was identified, not even one kind of work was specified.

Prices of electricity, fuel, food and basic commodities remain SKY-HIGH! Electricity and fuel costs occasionally go down by a few centavos but the reduction is not even half of the accumulated increase producers had imposed prior to it.

Neither has there been any substantial raise in wages to cope with increases in the prices of our daily basic needs.

Look around you, guys, and judge for yourselves if squatters or informal settlers have decreased in numbers. Go over the newspapers or browse in the Internet, or ask your friends, if there has been any voluntary departure from informal settlers’ neighborhoods due to a better life.

Not because of demolition or forced relocation.

The SWS story in the Philippine Star said the drop in the poverty rate was nationwide.

But the SWS DID NOT CITE any reason for the supposed decline.

There was NO BASIS either, or PROOF. Not a single, specific place was cited where poverty supposedly dropped. Not even one person who had supposedly gotten off the poverty line was named.

And again, there were only 1,200 respondents for the supposed reality in the lives of us 94 MILLION Filipinos.

This is another bullshit survey. The latest dirty trick to FOOL OR BRAINWASH us into believing that the Pnoy Administration is doing well in fighting poverty.

Judge for yourselves, people.

THERE’S NOTHING WRONG WITH RECEIVING DISCOUNTS!

PAM FRANCISCO of San Francisco, California, USA
Mga BOBO talaga. Globally, bumagsak yung market ng real estate kaya nakuha nila ng mura.

VOLTZ TAGLE
Sa Amerika nga, bungalow 700 square meters with 2 cars kasama mga gamit, binebenta na lang ng $120,000 dahil bagsak ang real state globally that time.

MARIA DOLORES SANTOS of London, United Kingdom
Napakahirap na paniwalaan ninuman na magbibigay ang isang bahay-kalakalan ng 10 miyong diskwento. Tell it to the marines.

MARIA LOURDES JARDIN of Cagayan de Oro
Funny. Just because he is the Chief Justice, he gets big discounts? Baka libre pa yan?

EDWARD LEE
Discount across the board or discount lang based sa gov't position? Ethics!

JOEBOY VERA
Precisely my friend, and surely the reason why the CJ bought the property was because of the big discount being offered. Who would not have bought it if it’s being sold at a bargain price? The fact is they are putting malice in a purely above-board business transaction. The seller was offering to sell and the buyer was willing to buy at a mutually agreed price. What is wrong with that? Did the CJ coerce or threaten the seller to sell at a price as low as that? As the seller explained, the unit was raw with some structural defects and (the transaction was) at a time when the real estate market was at its lowest globally.

LEMWEL SOLIMAN of Gumaca, Quezon
Excellent. I’ll share this!

EPOY ENRIQUEZ of Las Pinas
Megaworld vs Cobarde is a decision penned by Corona wherein he nullified a judgment by compromise wherein Megaworld is supposed to pay P25 million. Is this related to the discount given to Corona?

RODERICK ORALLO
There certainly is a wrong about receiving a P10-million discount for the purchase of a condominium unit at the Bellagio which might/will be having a pending litigation in the High Court. 30

NOYNOY'S HIGHLY DOUBTFUL POPULARITY!

The supposed continued popularity of Noynoy Aquino is HIGHLY DOUBTFUL. Even if the country’s leading survey firms, the Social Weather Stations (SWS) and Pulse Asia say so.

Consider these, among others, people:

1.    For the past several months, NOT EVEN ONE big and NEUTRAL group from any sector has declared continued support for Noynoy despite his Administration’s blunders. The only exception I know of is the Black and White Movement, of which Presidential Spokesman Edwin Lacierda is one of the top officials.
2.  The youth sector has been protesting and openly expressing disappointment over the budget cuts for education.
3.    Judges have openly protested cuts in the Judiciary budget and the impeachment of Chief Justice Renato Corona.
4.       The business sector has been repeatedly complaining about sky-high electricity rates. Several weeks ago, I came across a news item saying that the biggest organization of exporters in the country has warned that a lot of its members will close shop if the cost of electricity won’t go down.
5. The public as a whole has been tirelessly denouncing uncontrollable increases in the prices of food and basic commodities.
6.       Some of the top officials of Pulse Asia are relatives of Noynoy.
7.   Surveys on Noynoy’s supposed popularity come out, curiously, right after a major blunder by his Administration and public outrage.
8.     Never has Pulse Asia or SWS come out with a detailed explanation on how can the supposed 1,000 plus respondents to their surveys represent the sentiments of us 80 million plus Filipinos.

Anybody can correct me if I’m wrong on anything.

If anybody can justify the supposedly continued overwhelming popularity of Noynoy despite these observations. I assure you I’ll come out with it right away.  Just be sure you’ll have supporting details.

I am citing Noynoy’s questionable popularity, people, because it aims to condition our minds into BLIND ACCEPTANCE of his actions and performance.

It’s a way of telling us “Noynoy’s popular because he’s doing well as President,” even if signs to the contrary are all over.

For example, can anyone honestly say that the quality of life has improved, or has been much better, since Noynoy became President?

I’m not demanding for perfection or overnight results, people. All I’m looking for is TANGIBLE PROOF of improvement, and accomplishments.

Eighteen months in power isn’t so short a period to come up with even one achievement.

As I’ve said in our first blog yesterday, judge for yourselves based on facts. And not just on purported surveys or the opinion of others. 30
