INDIRECT PRESSURE, NOT REMINDER, ON TIANGCO!

The reminder to Navotas Rep. Toby Tiangco that he may face expulsion if he testifies in the impeachment trial of Chief Justice Renato Corona was INDIRECT PRESSURE by House Majority Leader Rep. Neptali Gonzales Jr.

Even if it’s in the rules of the House of Representatives as Gonzales clarifies.

Tiangco is certainly aware of House rules so he need not be reminded, as Gonzales had claimed. But Gonzales still did. Clearly, it was an attempt to CONTROL what Tiangco will say.

Otherwise, Gonzales would have left Tiangco on his own and just wait if the Navotas solon will violate House rules or not.

When you want to control, or pre-determine, the outcome of an event before it happens, it means you want to avoid something from being revealed.

If there’s nothing to fear, there’s no need for you to issue a reminder or anything similar to it and will just let the event unfold.

This is what Gonzales has to explain.

He should be reminded that the people are not SUCKERS or BLIND FOLLOWERS of the Pnoy Administration who will; swallow anything which allies like him will say hook, line and sinker.

As I was writing this piece, Tiangco was still testifying and has already declared what he found to be questionable acts in the House of Representatives on the day Corona was impeached.

So if Tiangco will be sanctioned or gagged by the House, don’t be surprised. And think of what kind of leaders we really have.
