QC ASSESSOR DOESN'T BELIEVE TUPAS!

No less than the Quezon City Assessor’s Office has described as unbelievable Tupas’ claim that his lot in Xavierville 1 Subdivision, where he is having a house built, is only worth P14 million.
The assessor’s office said the zonal value of the land in Xaverville 1 is P20,000 per square meter. But the selling price is P40,000 per square meter.
Since the lot is 632 square meters, the assessor’s office said the lot alone will cost P25 million plus, or P11 MILION MORE than what Tupas had declared.
The P14 million value Tupas claimed means he got the land for only P22,000 per square meter or just P2,000 more than the zonal value, which the chief assessor described as ‘NAPAKAMURA.’
Take note people, the amounts I’ve cited are ONLYFOR THE LAND!
The cost of the house, which a TV news report described as a mansion, being built on the property is not yet included.
I talked to two personal friends of mine, one a contractor and the other a businessman. Both of them said nowadays, you’ll need AT LEAST P15 MILLION for even a modest mansion.
Even if you take Tupas’ word for it, P14 million for the lot and P15 million for the house is equivalent to P29 million. That means Tupas is rich enough to spend P29 million for just one house and lot.
So more than ever, Tupas must now show DOCUMENTARY PROOF that he’s that wealthy, and his savings and earnings come from LEGAL SOURCES.
He must prove through BANK RECORDS, INCOME TAX RETURNS, statement of assets and liabilities (SALN) and other declarations of earnings that he’s making ENOUGH to be able to afford his Xaverville house and lot.
Considering that his integrity and honesty are being questioned, Tupas should waste no time in proving that his money is clean by presenting all these to the public AT ONCE.
If he really has nothing to fear or hide, this should not be a problem.
He has his staff to prepare all these for him if he’ll say his preoccupation with the
impeachment trial might delay the public disclosure Corona
For those who missed my preceding blog, Tupas only earns P25,000 monthly as a congressman.
Even if Tupas will be given the benefit of the doubt, he must still present the owner of the lot. The owner must explain IN DETAIL and in public why did he sell the lot to Tupas at an unbelievably low price and present proof of whatever he’ll say.
If Tupas will have one excuse after another to prevent a public disclosure of his financial records at once, that only means there’s an IRREGULARITY which the people should not see.
