A CONTEST MALACANANG WILL SURELY WIN!

If ever a contest for PAKAPALAN NG MUKHA will be held, Malacañang will undoubtedly win it hands down.

Like the prosecutors in the impeachment trial of Chief Justice Renato Corona, Malacanang has been accusing the Chief Justice of bad faith for failing to include the acquisition costs of properties he had declared in his Statement of Assets, Liabilities and Net Worth(SALN).

WITHOUT WAITING for Corona’s explanation, to which he is entitled to under the law.

But when Budget Secretary Florencio Abad ADMITTED that he also did not declare the acquisition cost of some of his properties in his past SALNs, deputy presidential spokesperson Abigail Valte declared, FASTER THAN LIGHTNING, that it was an honest mistake.

Without asking Abad for an explanation, he’s AUTOMATICALLY INNOCENT of any wrongdoing as far as Malacanang is concerned.

If it’s Corona, he’s already guilty of being untruthful or of bad faith.

Valte even had the stomach to say that Abad had no unreported assets or discrepancies in his SALN.

Paano mo nasiguro, Ms. Valte? ALAM MO BA ANG LAHAT ng kayamanan ni Mr. Abad? Accountant ka ba niya? Anak? Asawa?

Pag KAKAMPI nila, inosente agad. Ayoyo sanang sabihin ito pero kung hindi pa rin ito sagarang KAPAL NG MUKHA para sa iba,  kundi sila WALANG PINAGARALAN ay may DIPRENSYA sila sa UTAK.

REMEMBER, people, this is the FOURTH TIME that Malacanang is showing SHAMELESS BIAS in favor of their organization.

Don’t forget Interior and Local Government Sec. Rico Puno, who was accused of receiving jueteng bribes but was IMMEDIATELY, as in IMMEDIATELY, cleared by no less than Pnoy.

Or Assistant Transportation Sec. Torres (first name Virginia if I’m right) who WAS NOT TOUCHED despite recommendations of legal and administrative actions against her

And of course, presidential political adviser Ronald Llamas, who only got a reprimand for buying, and in effect SUPPORTING the criminal industry of ILLEGALLY-MANUFACTURED digital video discs (DVD).

Uulitin ko, kung hindi pa rin KAPAL NG MUKHA ITO, kailangan natin ng BAGONG DIKSYONARYO sa wikang Tagalog.

More than being arrogant and presumptuous, what is clearer is that Colmenares, Quimbo and the rest of the inept prosecuting team is manifesting desperation. They know that first, their articles of impeachment is poorly crafted, second, their evidence is practically nothing, third, their witnesses unconvincing, fourth, the defense evidence is both credible and offers direct rebuttal to their claims and lastly, the senator judges (at least more than the needed 8) have not been convinced at all. Thus, they have to resort to public opinion-formulation and trial by publicity. As the old legal adage says, when you are weak on the law, pound on the facts, when you are weak on the facts, pound on the law, but when you are weak on both, just pound on the table!
